New Avernus

New Avernus is a board game published in 2022 designed in collaboration with Seven Dane Asmund and their company Publishing Goblin. Seven approached me with a pitch for a game set in a world they had previously created works within. I took ideas from an earlier prototype Seven had created and designed a game borrowing those ideas and keeping the setting and feeling they were lookin for.

In the game, players create cities under the looming threat of a meteor strike. At the end of the game, that meteor lands and pummels the cities. The player whose city best survives the barrage wins the game.
